Reacting to Adobe's launch of a fully featured in-browser version of Photoshop:

Have we reached the tipping point for a full decoupling of software applications from OS platforms? In the new paradigm, what we call "the browser" is the software that runs all other software. Is there a downside to that? What are the ripple effects of this shift?
